Things You Must Do To Keep Your Tripods And Monopods In A Healthy Condition

Tripods and monopods are crucial elements that you require for stabilizing your camera. These equipment help you prevent camera shake and come up with crisp pictures and videos. A good tripod is certainly expensive and demands some maintenance so that it can last for years without much of repair. Here's what you must do to ensure it operates smoothly even after years.

  • The best thing you can do to ensure a long life of your tripod and monopod is to buy a good quality one that can sustain some mishandling during everyday use. Choose the branded ones and not the cheaper unbranded varieties.

  • If you are using a Tripod with Ball Head make sure you don’t bang the head around. Even if it is made of superior quality aluminum, don’t assume that it will not get damaged. Padding the tripod head with neoprene cover and using a carrying case for storing are some of the advisable precautions. If you feel they are time consuming, you may skip them but you still need to ensure its safety in all circumstances.

  • After a few years of operation, the tripod with ball heads lose their smoothness and start giving you some trouble while moving your camera. This is because of accumulation of dust in the bearing. In such situations or to avoid such situations keep cleaning your tripod on a regular basis. Spray a small amount of WD-40 on a towel and use it for wiping the ball. Never spray the solution directly on the ball, as you just need a small amount of it. After cleaning, wipe the ball with a dry towel to ensure that you have removed the entire solution. Never use the thicker lubricants as they will attract more dust.

For proper maintenance tips, follow the instruction manual that you have got with your equipment. All manufacturers have clearly mentioned the required maintenance tips in their user manual. Even if you are a busy professional, take some time out and dedicate it for maintaining your equipments. This way, you will be able to use your equipments for years.

Everything Is Possible With Green Screen Accessories

Hello friends. Hope you had a great time celebrating the arrival of the New Year. I was browsing the endless New Year celebration photographs of my Facebook friends and was amazed to see the how beautifully they have captured the New Year festivity. Although most of the photographs were good, they all had one major flaw. All of them had some element of blurriness in them. This was the reason why none of the photograph was crispy.
Blurriness is a major issue that every photographer has to deal with. This is caused by unwanted camera shakes that can be produced by numerous reasons such as your shaky hands, high-speed wind, environmental disturbances, etc. Even the experts find it difficult to keep their hands stable. This is the reason why tripods and monopods are highly recommended equipments for everyone who uses a camera. Even if you are simply a hobby photographer, you still need a tripod that can give maximum stability to your camera under all circumstances. While partying, you are surrounded by a group of overexcited people who may accidentally bang on you while you are pressing your shutter button. This is a major cause of blurred party photographs. Mount your camera on a tripod or monopod and place it at a safe location so that your camera is safe and stable.

Apart from using tripods and monopods, experts also recommend using shutter release cables that will give you more flexibility to operate your camera as well as protect it from unwanted movements. Even if you are using a tripod, chances of camera shakes cannot be avoided. Due to a high level excitement in the air during the New Year parties, chances are there that you might press the shutter button more firmly. This will affect the stability of your camera as well the quality of your photographs. A shutter release cable will help you to click the shutter button even without touching your camera. If you want more flexibility, use a remote shutter release that will help you to operate your camera even from a distance.

If you used a timer button to click group photographs during this New Year party, buy a remote shutter release cable. This useful photography tool will give you the flexibility to frame your shot carefully instead of running towards to spot to meet the timer deadline.

If you are in a situation where you cannot use these equipments, make sure you keep yourself as much stable as possible in order to avoid any unwanted camera movement. I hope these tips will help you click better party pictures.
